The flannel (white with the pink roses, which I am sure Maureen will recognize) is the back of the quilt which is just all one piece. I still need to sew up the corner where I turned it right side out and also decide what if anything else I should do to it (ie, top stitch, embroider some little designs on the jeans squares, add stablizing threads that go thru all layers at each square's corner etc). The inside as I do not have any quilt batting is actually an old soft fleece throw that made a perfect alternative to batting thankfully as I wasn't sure if it would or not. It's not huge but each quilt square is 5 inches x 5 inches and it is a great size for a couch throw which is what I wanted as I was thinking if it came out okay I'd give it to my mom for x-mas. Of course I can see tons of mistakes in it (some of the squares don't line up perfectly for instance) but it has some character and as my first try I am pretty happy with how it came out.
